10.07.2017, Chișinău - Moldova and Georgia continue active co-operation in various areas, as well as for the implementation of European integration goals. 
 
Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Galbur

The Georgian Foreign Minister noted with satisfaction that his official visit to Moldova coincides with the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The sides spoke about the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries highlighting the increasing level of co-operation in the defence, justice, customs, agriculture and other areas. The two ministers focused on the importance of holding the first inter-governmental economic commission and business forum in April of 2017, which is sure to give a fresh impetus to the bilateral trade-economic cooperation reported to have increased by 60% in the first quarter of 2017. The sides underlined the the importance of activating people-to-people contacts which will further strengthen by signing a memorandum of co-operation in the area of tourism between the two countries.
 
Mikheil Janelidze provided his Moldovan colleague with information on the recent developments in the occupied regions. The Moldovan Foreign Minister reaffirmed his support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

As part of the meeting the two ministers signed postage stamps issued to mark the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Mikheil Janelidze invited his colleague to Georgia.
