The Russian Federation opened 21 illegal polling stations in Georgia's occupied territories for the State Duma Elections on 18 September 2016. Besides, according to the decision by Chairperson of Russia's Central Election Commission, more than 114 thousand people residing in occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Regions were registered as voters in different federal subjects of the Russian Federation.

13.09.2016 - "I want to assure Georgian citizens that there is no debate on visa liberalization neither in the European Parliament nor in EU Council" -   Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and  Enlargement Negotiations said during his meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze in Strasbourg.

11.09.2016 Tbilisi - Today, September 11 of 2016, marks the 15th anniversary of the tragedy that affected the world. On September 11, 2001, the terroristic attack was held against the United States that took away the lives of around 3000 innocent individuals. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia expresses its deep condolences and pays tribute to the lives of fallen.
