The Georgian Foreign Ministry condemns the fact of concluding the so-called "Agreement on the State Border" by the Russian Federation with the Tskhinvali occupation regime.  Moscow's any actions directed towards the unilateral change of the internationally recognised state borders between Georgia and the Russian Federation have no legal force and represents a part of the process of occupation of Georgia's inalienable regions by the Russian Federation.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Hungary supports granting Georgia visa-free travel to the EU. Péter Szijjártó spoke about this at a joint press conference following the meeting with his Georgian counterpart, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze.

"The challenges we are facing now should not be causing concerns about the enlargement of either NATO or the EU because we think the worst response to these challenges would be to seclude ourselves, and to isolate ourselves. Instead, now it is the time for us to be open to new partnerships and to new alliances and this is the time for us to make sure both in case of NATO and the EU, that there is indeed enlargement taking place" -   Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó said at a joint press conference following the meeting with his Georgian counterpart, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze.

On 28 March - 2 April 2016, permanent representatives accredited to the UN are paying a visit to Georgia. The delegation includes the Ambassadors of Costa Rica, Fiji, Guatemala, Honduras, Malawi, Panama, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Zambia. The aim of the visit is to receive information on the current situation in Georgia, reforms carried out in Georgia and the country's economic possibilities.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry strongly condemns the brutal terrorist attack committed on 27 March 2016 at children's park in Pakistan's Lahore, killing at least 70 innocent people, including children. Georgia is dismayed at this yet another act of brutality that is clearly a horrible crime against humanity.

Georgia strongly condemns the terrorist attack committed on 25 March 2016, by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) after a local football match near Al-Asriya, a town to the south of Baghdad, killing at least 41 innocent people and leaving tens of others injured.
